The Story & Vibe
Join us for a memorable evening at the Precursors Legacy Gala, celebrating 70 years of Black excellence at The University of Texas at Austin! This special event honors the first Black undergraduates who bravely paved the way for future generations. On Friday, October 23rd, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:30 PM at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, you’ll enjoy a delightful three-course dinner, inspiring speeches, and uplifting performances. Our keynote speaker, the esteemed civil rights lawyer Gary Bledsoe, will share his insights, while Dr. Cierra Campbell Bridges will guide us as our Mistress of Ceremonies. Plus, get ready to be entertained by the soulful sounds of R&B artist Chris Teague! Together, we’ll celebrate the past and raise $70,000 for Black student scholarships through our 70 for 70 Campaign. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow Longhorns and support the next generation of leaders! 🎉
