The Story & Vibe

Join us for an engaging conversation with economist Raj Chetty as he dives into the transformative effects of mixed-income communities on children's futures. Earlier this year, Chetty and Opportunity Insights released a pivotal report on the HOPE VI program, which has reshaped urban landscapes by replacing large public housing developments with vibrant, mixed-income neighborhoods. In this event, hosted by the National Public Housing Museum alongside the Chicago Community Trust and the MacArthur Foundation, Chetty will share compelling data and insights from his research. He'll be joined by Marisa Novara and Salin Geevarghese, who will explore the challenges and opportunities that come with these community changes, touching on issues of racial and economic segregation and the path toward housing justice. Don’t miss this chance to be part of an important discussion about the future of our communities!
