Poster Design Challenge

Imagine Drake is taking over Delhi in a live concert. Create a visually striking poster capturing the energy and the atmosphere. Turn this announcement into a chance to showcase your creativity. You are free to make assumptions regarding venue, date, theme and all that you need to make it feel real. Judging Criteria: Creativity, visual hierarchy, typography, composition, originality, and overall execution.

Brand Merch Launch

Imagine One8 stepping into the world of streetwear with a limited-edition collaboration. Choose a fitting brand and create a cohesive two/three pieces limited-edition consisting of elements, such as: • T-shirt/Apparel Design • Sneaker/Footwear Design • Launch Poster/Social Media Creative/Packaging Concept Judging Criteria: Originality, brand understanding, cohesiveness, creativity, commercial appeal, and presentation.

Frame Forge (International Pass)

Some stories don't need motion to move you. A single frame can tell an entire story. In Frame Forge, participants will be challenged to build a high-quality 3D still render based on a given theme. From modelling and texturing to lighting and rendering, every choice should reflect creative originality. Judging Criteria: Creativity, visual storytelling, modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering quality, originality, and overall presentation.

Predict the Ending

And so, the story stops and you take over. Participants will be given an upcoming/unreleased movie and will have to predict its ending, presenting their version through a comic-strip-style poster. The ending should connect with the movie’s known premise or characters. Judging Criteria: Creativity, storytelling, originality, visual execution, composition, and relevance to the movie.

Genre Ticket

Participants will be able to participate in all events and attend all Workshops and Talks of any one particular Genre, Accomodation Free (including OAT, Standup Comic).

Sculpted Realms (International Pass)

Every character has a story and a shape; develop yours on the given theme. Participants will have 2 days to interpret the concept, develop their character, and create a visually compelling 3D sculpt that reflects their creativity and technical skill. Judging Criteria: Character design, creativity, detailing, sculpting quality, interpretation of the theme, originality, and overall presentation.

Laughing Gazette

When the news gets serious, it’s time to get seriously funny. Take the given news article, flip the narrative, and rewrite it with your own satirical twist. Let your originality turn ordinary headlines into unexpected laughter, and prove that even the most serious stories can have a funny side. Participants will turn the original piece into an entertaining news story while retaining its core context and keeping the final write-up within 500 words. Judging Criteria: Humour, creativity, originality, writing style, satire, relevance to the original article, and overall impact.

Motion Canvas (International Pass)

A still image is a scene. Movement brings it to life. Participants will create a 10-second animated piece based on the theme provided by the organisers. With 4 days to conceptualise, animate, and refine their work, participants must deliver a polished final piece that effectively communicates the theme through animation and visual storytelling. Judging Criteria: Creativity, animation quality, visual storytelling, concept development, technical execution, originality, and overall presentation.

FrameIt (International Pass)

Carve a visual story out of your best photographs, adding a touch of your unique take on the revealed theme. In this photography competition, you will be assigned a theme and asked to turn it into a compelling visual story. Judging Criteria: Creativity, composition, originality, interpretation of the theme, visual storytelling, and technical execution.

Writers Block

Every great story begins with a blank page. Give form to the ideas in your head and weave them into a compelling screenplay. Let your creativity, originality, and narrative craft shape the plot you have always wanted to write. Judging Criteria: Storytelling, creativity, originality, character development, narrative structure, writing quality, and overall execution

Straight From Site

Where the story unfolds, you become the voice that tells it. Step into the scene with no script and no second take. Observe, analyse, and think on your feet to deliver the moment like a live reporter. Let your instincts and confidence shape the story, and prove that when news happens, you’re ready to make it heard. Participants will be presented with a given scene or situation, and challenged to present the news as if they were reporting live from the location. Judging Criteria: Observation, clarity of communication, spontaneity, storytelling, confidence, relevance, and overall presentation. Mode: Offline

From bustling streets and hidden treasures to local delicacies, cultural celebrations, traditions, and everyday moments, bring together the sights, sounds, and stories that make your city special. Vistiq invites you to create a reel that captures the spirit of your city. Judging Parameters: Creativity, storytelling, content quality, editing skills, audience engagement, and overall impact

AdMad

In a world overflowing with content, only the best stands out. A brilliant idea, a compelling story, and the power to captivate an audience. In this 36-hour challenge, participants will be given a theme and tasked with creating an advertisement film that promotes a product while staying true to the theme. Judging Criteria: Cinematography, scripting, acting, product marketing, creativity, and closeness to the given theme. Team Event - Register as a team of 1 to 20 members with a single team registration.

Digital Dastaan

Fiction, memory, or a folk tale retold, the story is yours to pick, and how you tell it is wide open. Live-action, animation, a narrated slideshow, or something else entirely: the story matters, the format does not. Judging Criteria: Storytelling, creativity, originality, narrative structure, visual execution, engagement, and overall presentation.

ColorSnap

Four photographs, four different moods, tied into a collage by a single shade of the colour you choose. Participants will capture four photographs centred around their chosen colour and combine them into a single collage. The challenge is to present different perspectives, moods, and stories through the same colour. Judging Criteria: Creativity, composition, visual storytelling, originality, use of colour, and overall presentation.

Not every story needs to be invented, some just need to be found. Over 50 hours, follow a lead, ask the right questions, and piece together a documentary that reveals something worth knowing. The facts are out there; the challenge is finding the story hidden inside them. Format: Online Judging Criteria: Cinematography, storytelling, research and factual accuracy, clarity of purpose, creativity, and overall presentation.

Directors Cut

The theme drops, the clock starts, and there's no leaving the campus until it's done. Script, shoot, and edit a short film, all within fifty hours, all on IIT-BHU grounds. No outside location. No extra time for post production editing. Judging Criteria: Storytelling, direction, cinematography, scripting, acting, editing, creativity, theme interpretation, and overall execution. Team Event - Register as a team of 1 to 20 members with a single team registration.

InstaMeet

Varanasi has a story to tell you. Take with you the theme revealed just before the photography walk and the unique lens with which you see the world. Submit photographs of the sights you see with a flavour of your unique perspective. Judging Criteria: Creativity, composition, theme interpretation, visual storytelling, originality, observation, and overall photographic execution.

Photoart

Cut, blend or blur. In this photo manipulation challenge, do what you must to create an artwork out of a given set of images, based on themes like post-apocalyptic, surrealism, wildlife, and retro futurism. Judging Criteria: Creativity, composition, theme integration, originality, and overall photographic execution.
