Deakin Middle East Studies Forum 2026 Conference

Join us for the Deakin Middle East Studies Forum 2026 Conference on November 4-5 at Deakin University, where we’ll dive deep into the evolving geopolitical landscape of the Middle East. This in-person event is your chance to engage with thought-provoking discussions about significant transformations in the region, from the humanitarian crisis in Gaza to the complex post-Assad transition in Syria. Expect to explore the intricate connections between history, culture, and identity as we examine how these issues resonate not just in the Middle East but also in Australia, where rising intolerance and questions of belonging are increasingly relevant. With interdisciplinary contributions welcomed, this conference promises a rich blend of political analysis and humanities that will illuminate the stories shaping conflict, resilience, and hope. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with experts and peers, share insights, and reflect on the pressing challenges and narratives of our time!
