The Story & Vibe

Dive into the rich tapestry of culinary stories at SERUMPUN 2026: CROSSCURRENTS! This unique event explores how food connects us through migration, trade, and shared experiences. You'll discover how dishes evolve and adapt over time, reflecting cultural identities and histories that are anything but static. Curated by Khir Johari, author of *The Food of Singapore Malays*, SERUMPUN features insightful talks from food historians and chefs like Anissa Helou, Harry Nazarudin, Helianti Hilman, and Ananya Kabir, each offering a fresh perspective on the flavors that shape our world. After lunch, join engaging panel discussions with notable figures in the culinary scene, including Chef William Wongso and Sarah Huang Benjamin. But that's not all! Experience exclusive collaborations at Michelin-recognized restaurants Seroja and FIZ, where chefs will create special dishes just for this event. Come hungry and curious for a day of delicious exploration! Your $20 contribution includes lunch and tea, helping us keep this vibrant gathering accessible for all.
