The Story & Vibe

Join us for an eye-opening evening at the San Francisco Public Library as we dive into the real impact of Silicon Valley on our lives. While the tech hub is known for its wealth and innovation, what about the everyday experiences of those living in its shadow? On October 21, hear from three insightful authors: investigative journalist Brian Barth, anthropologist Manissa Maharawal, and journalist Jonathan Weber. They’ll explore pressing topics like housing, economic inequality, and urban planning, alongside architect and urban planner Vinita Goyal. This engaging discussion will shed light on the complexities of life in the Bay Area and how tech influences our communities. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and while the event is free, a suggested donation of $10–$15 is appreciated. Don’t miss this chance to gain a deeper understanding of the Bay Area’s evolving landscape!
