Nerd Nite North Van Nerdtrino Spooktacular

Join us for the Nerd Nite North Van Nerdtrino Spooktacular, where science meets fun in a relaxed, 19+ atmosphere! This unique event features two engaging 15-minute talks from brilliant scientists who break down complex ideas into digestible bites—no jargon here! Expect humor, great food, and drinks, plus the chance to dive deeper during live Q&As with the speakers. This October, we’re diving into the mysterious world of neutrinos—those elusive “ghost particles” that zip through everything, including Earth! You’ll hear from Matthias Danninger about the groundbreaking P-ONE project, a massive neutrino telescope being built in the Pacific Ocean, and Scott Oser will share his adventures in detecting solar neutrinos. Feel free to dress up for our Costume Contest—whether you want to be a ghost or a ghost particle, all costumes are welcome! So come early to grab a bite from Jack’s amazing menu, and get ready for a night of curiosity and connection. Doors open at 6 PM, and the show kicks off at 7 PM. Don’t miss out!
