Trace Monotype Portraits with Bill Platz

Join artist Bill Platz for a fun and hands-on workshop where you’ll dive into the unique world of trace monotype portrait drawing! This engaging session will teach you how to use printmaking ink and materials like oil pastels to transfer your drawings from a tracing-paper plate onto paper, resulting in stunning portraits filled with rich textures and expressive marks. No prior drawing experience? No problem! Just bring your enthusiasm and a spirit of experimentation. You'll not only create your own beautiful portrait but also explore the fascinating history of this technique, once favored by Impressionist masters like Paul Gauguin. The evening kicks off with an exclusive viewing of the exhibition, followed by a guided workshop, and wraps up with a conversation with Bill. All materials are provided, but spots are limited, so be sure to book your place! Just a heads-up: the session will include a life model with partial nudity/costume.
