PowerShift 2026

Join us for the UKYCC PowerShift conference on Saturday, October 17th, at the vibrant Manchester Museum! This year's theme centers on the politics of hope, empowering young people to engage in shaping policies that impact their futures. Expect an action-packed day filled with workshops led by local entrepreneurs and activists, engaging discussions with MPs like Hannah Spencer and Afzal Khan, and creative sessions that spark your imagination for a better tomorrow. Whether you're passionate about climate justice, women's rights, or any pressing social issue, you'll find a welcoming space to share your thoughts and connect with like-minded individuals. Registration kicks off at 9:30 AM, with the first session starting at 10:00 AM. Enjoy lunch and refreshments throughout the day, and feel free to explore creative drop-in sessions, board games, and a book swap! This event is free for young people aged 18-29, and we encourage donations to help keep it running. Come be part of the conversation and make your voice heard!
