Mary and Padraic Colum: Lives and the Dream

Join us at the National Library of Ireland for an engaging evening exploring the lives of two extraordinary Irish writers: Padraic and Mary Colum. In her new biography, "Mary and Padraic Colum: Lives and the Dream," author Margaret Kelleher delves into the rich tapestry of their careers, from the Irish Literary Revival to the vibrant literary scene in New York. Margaret will be in conversation with Éilís Ní Dhuibhne, Laureate of Irish Fiction, as they discuss the joys and challenges of writing a joint biography. Expect to gain fresh insights into the Colums’ remarkable contributions to literature and perhaps discover why Mary’s work deserves a revival! This event is free, but if you’d like to support future events, consider grabbing a 'Supporter's Ticket.' Plus, be aware that we might capture some candid moments for our social media. Don't miss this chance to celebrate Irish literary heritage! 📚
